What is E-collar training?

E-collar training allows your dog to be completely off-leash and experience life to the fullest at beaches, parks, family get-togethers, and more. It also prevents unwanted behaviors in the home. Allowing your dog off-leash helps them get more exercise, find more fulfillment in your adventures, and builds your relationship like nothing else.

Are e-collars abusive?

No! You can do more harm to your dog with a harsh leash yank than you can with an e-collar at a low level. Off-leash training with an e-collar is one of the kindest, safest things you could ever do for your dog. Off-leash freedom is enriching, stimulating, provides exercise, and satisfies your dog's need to be a dog. E-collars are virtual leashes and help you communicate with your dog up to a mile away. In the event your dog's instincts take over and they ignore your verbal recall and start running into a road, toward another dog or something unsafe, their e-collar is your safety net.

How long does the training take?

The Complete and BYOC Packages are 10 lessons, which is usually two lessons weekly over 5 weeks. Some dogs (or owners!) are slower on the uptake, so you can absolutely request to have more time between sessions for extra practice!

ALL DOGS can be e-collar trained! Every pup deserves freedom and safety. As an E-Collar Techologies dealer, I have access to dozens of e-collar options for dogs 5 lbs to 150 lbs.
